Bo Ra vs. Boys Boys Boys!

Most of you from my hometown WA, may already know of the band Boys Boys Boys. For those who don't, Boysx3 are a band of sweethearts. They also make fun music with even better lyrics. This year Bo Ra has teamed up with Boys Boys Boys, to create cute headband/bowtie merchandise. For $20 you can score yourself a bow made from cute recycled fabrics. Bo Ra For Breathless

Breathless is a Western Australian brand and a big supporter of fellow WA designers. Last year Breathless showcased an amazing collection at the Perth 2009 Fashion Festival. In 2010 Bo Ra is ecstatic to announce a collaboration. Not only will original Bo Ra pieces be stocked at the Claremont Store, but under the name Bo Ra For Breathless, Bo Ra will be making accessories from luxurious Breathless dupion and tulle.

To get your hands on lace corsage headbands, dupion/tulle brooches, dupion/tulle hairpieces and all matter of flamboyancy, duck into 17 Avion Way, Claremont, WA 6010.

Happy New Year

It's been a long time since my last post.

Silence is by no means an indication of inaction.

In 2009 Bo Ra was involved with some great organisations, dotdotdash magazine, Serif, Dropstitch and also Unwrapped Leederville. The Winter '09 Collection was so popular at Belle Bijoux Australia, it was an amazing but busy year.

2010 is off to an exciting start with a focus on sequins, hearts and frills. A new stockist will also be announced in the coming weeks, a store I am really excited about! So keep an eye on this space for photos and announcements coming very soon.

Bows n' Rah

Beanies and bow headbands in store at Belle Bijoux Australia now!

Bo Ra has made it's debut at Belle Bijoux in Subiaco and the response has been, quite honestly overwhelming. Each piece is handmade, complete with adorable handmade swingtags. Beat the winter blues and dress up your winter coats with cute beanies and bows!

Currently the bow headbands come in three colour variations:

• Wetlook Black Vinyl
  

New colours will be arriving in store this week. They include:

As for the beanies, the first order of beanies sold out in under 2 weeks! New stock was delivered on Friday so pop into the store to get them before they're all gone!

The first three beanie colour variations that sold out have been repeated:

These colour variations are all exclusive to Belle Bijoux Australia, so if anything takes your fancy head to 86 Rokeby Road Subiaco. There are some really amazing pieces instore at the moment, particularly the fabulous fascinators (there are even ones adorned with leopard print fabric!) so it's definitely worth a pop-in.

Presenting...

This week Belle Bijoux Australia in Subiaco, will be stocking my creations under the label Bo Ra. I also have a brand, spanking new logo, designed by the very talented Kara Smith (lilac.wine@hotmail.com). 

Belle Bijoux Australia is located at 86 Rokeby Road Subiaco, Perth Western Australia. This store has been one of my favourites since it opened a year ago, and everytime I step out of the house I am guaranteed to be wearing at least one of Belle's gorgeous pieces. The store stocks various treasures crafted from the softest leather, from handbags to hairclips. Another thing I can never go past are the array of vintage scarves Belle has collected from all over the world, and for a modest price too!

What's going on?

It's been awhile since I've posted anything. Uni, work commitments, playing with Olive and playing with our new kitten Elky have been consuming all my spare time. I dusted the cobwebs off my Brother a couple of weeks ago and rustled up some creations, but haven't had a chance to put the photos up as they've been handed in as samples to a potential stockist.

The good news is...

Under the label 'Bo Ra' these creations will soon be stocked at the stand alone store of my favourite Perth designer.
